The Human Biology papers are written to reflect the WACE exam design brief, with the marking key reflecting the same format as the WACE marking guides used for WACE marking.
This paper consists of a spread of the syllabus dot points from Unit 3 and includes aspects of Science as a Human Endeavour used as context. Diagrams are used to test students’ ability to identify structures and functions and students are presented with scenarios in order to analyse and use their knowledge and draw conclusions before answering the questions. This should ensure better differentiation within the exam.
